I remember when you used to have to order your movies from the central distributor. Get the wheels of film and put them on a projector. Then you could show the kids a video! I could never get my act together for that. Well for big units I was able to at the least get the Volcano
video. There was always one person that had the plan. Twice a month on a Wednesday the videos would show up and Friday lessons would be a video. Closer to the end of the year this became a weekly event. Film Friday’s we would call it. Not a lot of evaluation of classes in those days.
I just got off of Reeder and the one thing I noticed is that we had a lot of uploads to the Youtube site I created for the school when I first got here. Yes I subscribe to some strange feeds. It’s cool, though that many years later I am struck by the number of students that are uploading their content.
Students are not just passively watching content. The are content creators not just consumers.
