I was trying to create a how to guide for my students. I was using Reflector to record the steps needed to download music from the creative commons, using the Documents application by Readdle. When downloaded to Documents I then added the music to iMovie on the iPad. When I tried to save the Reflector screencast the application crashed during movie export. So I switched to using Quicktime player to create a Reflector screencast.
The steps in adding the music to an iMovie projects are fairly straight forward:
- use the web browser in Documents to browse to http://search.creativecommons.org/
- select one of the music search tools, Soundcloud, Jamendo or CCmixter
- find the music you want then download it
- open the file in iMovie
